Nutrition Courses

This page is dedicated to the nutrition courses that I offer. They are all self contained and cover how to use nutrition to support your training and competition goals. 

Each course is broken down into 6 modules:

1.AN INTRODUCTION TO NUTRITION

This module is an introduction to nutrition, highlighting the role that nutrition plays on health and performance. In this session you will learn about the role of each food group: protein, carbohydrates, fats, fruits and vegetables as well as the importance of hydration.

2.NUTRITION FOR TRAINING GOALS

This module focuses on how to use nutrition to fuel the demands of your training (what to have before, during and after), using nutrition to achieve your training goals such as losing weight and increasing muscle strength and size.

3. NUTRITION FOR COMPETITION DEMANDS

This module focuses on what to consume around competitions (both home and away), nutrition on the day before, day of and day after an event plus how to use nutrition to help you recover after an intense competition.

4.NUTRITION FOR INJURY AND ILLNESS 

This module focuses on how to use nutrition to help you recover efficiently from injury whilst minimizing weight gain. This session also focuses on how to use nutrition to help maintain a strong immune system to help reduce the risk of illness.

5. SUPPLEMENTS AND THE ASSOCIATED RISKS

Supplements are often seen as a quick fix to any nutrition issue, however there are a number of risks associated with using supplements. This module will focus on what to look out for when considering using supplements as well as highlighting some they may benefit performance.

6. ADDITIONAL NUTRITION CONSIDERATIONS

This session covers other important nutrition factors including the benefits of meal planning, shopping and budgeting as well as understanding food labels and nutrition tables.  ​

How does this course work?

Each module has been created based on the latest science and research in Sport nutrition. There are a number of additional resources throughout for you to download. Each section can be completed in your own time.

What happens when I have finished this course?

On completion of this course, you will have a much greater knowledge and understanding of the role of nutrition and the impact it can have on your sporting performance as well as health.
